Dubai hotel builds indoor farm to grow vegetables and fruits with vertical hydroponic tower system

The UAE is hot and dry all year round, and traditional outdoor gardening not only faces heat and sand problems, but also requires a lot of water for irrigation, a resource that is in short supply in Dubai. Our client, a high-end hotel in Dubai, UAE, wanted to provide their guests with fresh, healthy and traceable ingredients. They planned to grow their own food and create a modern farming system within the hotel to produce the vegetables and fruits that the hotel needs on a daily basis.

We customized a hydroponic tower farm for indoor growing. The 6P10 hydroponic tower system was chosen for the core growing equipment. This hydroponic system has a small footprint and a compact but high planting density of 10 floors. Through hydroponic cultivation, the crop growth cycle is short, and the hydroponic tower is equipped with a recirculating water conservation system that significantly reduces water consumption, making it ideal for water-scarce regions, while avoiding the pest and disease problems of traditional cultivation. The vertical layout of the hydroponic tower allows for high yield supply even in limited indoor space, and the use of food-grade PP materials ensures that all vegetables on the hotel table are fresh, tasty and safe.

Currently, the client has purchased some hydroponic tower planting equipment and started to renovate the indoor planting space, and plans to make the vertical hydroponic tower farm a special feature of the hotel after the system is officially put into operation.
