Global Manufacturer of Custom Hydroponic Systems & Turnkey Commercial Farming Projects
In the United States, the demand for fresh, locally grown microgreens continues to rise across restaurants, farmers’ markets, health food stores, and home kitchens. However, due to significant climate differences across regions—ranging from hot and dry southern states to cold winters in northern areas—traditional soil-based growing methods often struggle to deliver consistent, year-round production.
To address these challenges, hydroponic microgreen systems have become an increasingly popular solution for both commercial growers and home users. This case study features a U.S.-based customer who was seeking a reliable, scalable system to support long-term microgreen production under controlled conditions.
Before contacting us, the customer had already gained substantial knowledge through YouTube tutorials and online resources focused on hydroponic microgreen growing. As a result, our discussions quickly moved beyond basic growing questions and focused instead on system configuration, lighting optimization, airflow management, and yield stability. To support the decision-making process, we shared detailed growing videos and technical documents, which helped the customer better visualize system performance and operational workflow.
Based on the customer’s location and intended use, we recommended a multi-layer hydroponic microgreen system designed to perform consistently across varying weather conditions. The system features a space-efficient vertical structure, high-efficiency LED grow lights, and a recirculating hydroponic design that allows for precise control of water, nutrients, and light. This makes it suitable for a wide range of environments, including greenhouses, warehouses, restaurant back rooms, basements, and garages.
The system supports a broad selection of popular microgreen varieties commonly grown in the U.S. market, such as pea shoots, sunflower greens, radish microgreens, wheatgrass, arugula, and mixed microgreen blends. These crops are well suited for commercial supply to restaurants and local markets, as well as for personal and household use.
After reviewing the proposed solution, the customer confirmed an order for two high-configuration 6-2 hydroponic microgreen systems. To further enhance plant growth, the customer requested an additional row of LED grow lights and circulation fans on each level, improving light distribution and air movement to promote healthier, more uniform growth throughout the system.
