Global Manufacturer of Custom Hydroponic Systems & Turnkey Commercial Farming Projects
In countries like the Netherlands, where light conditions change frequently, the climate is cool and humid, and sustainability is highly valued, achieving stable, efficient, and water‑saving cultivation in limited indoor spaces remains a major challenge for small‑scale growers.
This Dutch customer had long been exploring small‑scale soilless growing solutions, aiming to establish an indoor system for vegetables and herbs that is not affected by seasonal or climate changes. The goal was to overcome common problems of traditional soil cultivation, such as uneven nutrient distribution, excessive water consumption, complex management, and time‑consuming maintenance. After multiple rounds of research and comparison, the customer ultimately selected our hydroponic NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) system for indoor vegetable and herb production.
The customer’s core requirements focused on three key aspects: ease of operation, strong adaptability to indoor spaces, and stable yields even under low‑light conditions and temperature fluctuations.
Designed specifically with the Dutch climate in mind, our NFT system operates efficiently in enclosed or semi‑enclosed indoor environments. Through continuous nutrient film circulation, plant roots remain evenly exposed to nutrients, without relying on soil temperature or humidity. This significantly reduces environmental impact on crop performance. In addition, the hydroponic NFT system achieves water savings of over 90%, aligning perfectly with the customer’s sustainability and water‑efficiency goals.
The NFT system features a simple, modular design with a compact footprint, allowing flexible placement on balconies or in indoor corners. Even during winter months with limited natural light, stable growth can be maintained when paired with supplemental lighting, all without requiring advanced growing experience. The system is intuitive and easy to operate, making indoor cultivation accessible to beginners.
During the project, we provided one‑on‑one guidance covering system installation, scientific nutrient solution formulation, and daily maintenance. We also offered tailored planting recommendations based on local climate conditions. Following our guidance, the customer successfully completed installation and commissioning and quickly became familiar with system operation.
The hydroponic NFT system is now fully operational, successfully producing herbs and lettuce with uniform growth, vibrant leaf color, and fresh taste. According to customer feedback, the system is easy to use, highly stable, and largely unaffected by seasonal or climate variations. It effectively addressed the customer’s cultivation challenges while significantly enhancing the indoor growing experience. The customer expressed strong satisfaction with both product quality and service support.
