Indoor Farming in Jamaica with 4P10 Hydroponic Tower System

In Jamaica, due to outdoor heat and land constraints, the client wanted to grow fresh, pesticide-free leafy greens and herbs in a limited indoor space and chose our 4P10 hydroponic tower system with the intention of setting up a compact indoor farm project.The 4P10 Vertical Hydroponic Tower features 40 growing holes in a small footprint, and its vertical design maximizes the use of space, making it ideal for converting a small pantry or apartment corner to produce as much as possible in a limited space.

Equipped with full-spectrum LED plant grow lights, vegetables are no longer dependent on Jamaica's intense but erratic natural light. The client is able to accurately control the light intensity and cycle to provide stable light for leafy greens, which grows healthily and uniformly, resulting in lower operating costs and stable production throughout the year. Equipped with a water recycling system that not only saves 90% of the water used for growing, but also ensures that each vegetable receives a balanced amount of nutrients to promote fast and healthy growth. This soilless cultivation method also reduces the risk of pests and diseases, keeping the vegetables clean and safe.

In choosing the types of vegetables to grow, the customer selected vegetables with short growing cycles but high market demand, such as lettuce, spinach, basil, mint, and even experimented with chili peppers and cherry tomatoes.

After a few months of operation, the client has been able to harvest a steady weekly supply of pesticide-free kalaloo (a local favorite leafy green vegetable) and butter lettuce for the neighboring markets. Currently, the customer has plans to add three more sets of 4P10 hydroponic towers.
