Hydroponic Farming in Dubai Greenhouse with Vertical hydroponicTowers and Dutch Buckets

The hot and dry climate of Dubai and the scarcity of water resources all year round are placing greater demands on local farms. In order to increase the output per unit of planting area and reduce the cost of irrigation, a local greenhouse farm, which mainly grows green leafy vegetables and cucumbers, started to try the hydroponic system.

After communication, we recommended a combination of two hydroponics systems to plan the greenhouse planting: a vertical hydroponics tower system for green leafy vegetables, which makes full use of the height of the greenhouse space, and a vertical hydroponics tower, which allows for a much higher number of plantings per square meter than the traditional flat planting. At the same time, the hydroponic tower's water circulation system greatly reduces water consumption. The cucumber planting uses the mature Dutch bucket hydroponics system with a timed water and fertilizer supply program to ensure balanced crop growth.

The customer finally chose our customized combined hydroponic growing solution and ordered several sets of 6P10 vertical hydroponic towers and a complete Dutch bucket hydroponic system. After the delivery of the products, the installation has been completed and successfully put into production in the greenhouse, and both leafy vegetables and cucumbers are now in the rapid growth period. We also provided detailed operation instructions and online technical support to help the customer get started quickly.

This trial not only improved crop quality and growing efficiency, but also provided a more water-efficient and effective solution for facility-based agriculture in the Middle East. Hydroponics is becoming an important option for resource-constrained regions like Dubai.
