Vertical Hydroponic Tower System for Greenhouse Farming in Iraq

The heat and drought in Iraq, with summer temperatures often exceeding 40°C, and water constraints make traditional soil-based growing a challenge. An Iraqi greenhouse grower contacted us through our website on January 23rd. The customer wanted to introduce a modern hydroponics system to his commercial greenhouse to increase vegetable yields, reduce water and operating costs, and achieve a steady supply of leafy greens throughout the year.

After understanding his needs and greenhouse conditions, we recommended the 6P10 model vertical hydroponic tower growing system. With 60 growing holes, this hydroponic tower has a small footprint and high yield, making it ideal for commercial greenhouse farming. The closed-loop water supply system saves up to 90% of agricultural water consumption, while ensuring balanced nutrient levels to help crops grow well in hot, dry conditions.

In addition, the vertical garden hydroponic tower system is suitable for growing a wide range of crops, including leafy greens (e.g., lettuce, spinach, kale), high-value herbs (e.g., basil, mint, etc.), and high-value small fruits (e.g., strawberries, cherry tomatoes, etc.) suitable for greenhouse conditions.

The customer ultimately ordered 220 sets of 6P10 hydroponic towers, all of which were installed in the greenhouse. At the same time, the greenhouse's temperature control and ventilation system, used in conjunction with the hydroponic towers, effectively mitigates the effects of extreme summer heat on the plants in Iraq.
