An agricultural business starter from Cyprus reached out to us after browsing our official website. She is planning a greenhouse of approximately 200 square meters and aims to begin commercial leafy vegetable production locally. Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate characterized by wet, cold winters and hot, dry summers. Traditional soil-based farming not only consumes significant water but is also vulnerable to high temperatures and seasonal fluctuations, resulting in unstable yields—a major challenge for commercial operations. Consequently, she has been seeking a modern agricultural system that is more efficient, stable, and suitable for year-round production.
During our discussions, the client detailed her business plan and intended crop varieties, including lettuce, spinach, romaine lettuce, and other high-demand leafy greens and premium fruits/vegetables. Her objectives were clear: increase yield per unit area, reduce water and labor costs, ensure stable production, and establish a sustainable, scalable commercial farming model.
Based on the greenhouse dimensions, ceiling height, budget, and future business objectives she provided, we evaluated multiple hydroponic equipment layouts and production capacity scenarios. Ultimately, we recommended the 6P15 Vertical Hydroponic Tower System. This hydroponic solution is the optimal fit for her commercial greenhouse due to the following reasons:
After reviewing our hydroponic system configuration, yield projections, and greenhouse layout design, the client affirmed this was the project solution she had long sought. To ensure the hydroponic tower system fully adapts to local greenhouse conditions, she decided to order 10 sets of 6P15 hydroponic towers as a pilot project to test growth performance, harvest cycles, and operational costs.
The client also shared her broader plans: if the hydroponic towers meet production expectations, she will convert the entire 200-square-meter greenhouse to the hydroponic tower system. Future expansion includes a second greenhouse dedicated to supplying local supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and farmers' markets.
The project is now in the payment and production phase. We have prepared follow-up hydroponic cultivation training, installation guidance, and operational protocols for the client. We anticipate this greenhouse project will become a model commercial hydroponic farm in Cyprus, showcasing the immense potential of hydroponic systems in modern agriculture.
