In July 2025, a customer from Germany expressed interest in home hydroponic farming. While not having much experience with hydroponics, he had always wanted to try growing lettuce hydroponically, with the goal of transitioning to commercial farming. After discussing this with him, we recommended the beginner-friendly 6P9 Garden Hydroponic Tower System.
The vertical hydroponic tower occupies less than one square meter, yet boasts 54 planting holes, increasing space utilization by three times. It's ideal for growing vegetables on urban balconies, in kitchens, backyards, or in greenhouses. Made of durable and environmentally friendly food-grade PP, the tower features an automatic water circulation system, saving 90% of agricultural water compared to traditional soil-based farming methods. Because it operates without soil, the entire growing process is cleaner, avoiding common soil diseases and pests, resulting in fresher, more flavorful vegetables. In addition to lettuce, the hydroponic tower system can also be used to grow a variety of leafy greens, such as spinach, cilantro, and kale. Fruits like tomatoes and strawberries can also be grown using the hydroponic tower, making it a very practical hydroponic growing system.
We also shared customer feedback from other European regions with the client and explained the practicality of the 6P9 Garden Hydroponic Tower system in Germany's climate. Germany's mild summers provide excellent sunlight, allowing the hydroponic tower to operate directly under natural light. In winter, when sunlight is insufficient, the hydroponic tower system can be paired with full-spectrum LED grow lights to ensure sufficient and even light for stable year-round growth. Based on our experience, one 6P9 hydroponic tower can produce multiple batches of lettuce per month, achieving an annual yield more than double that of traditional soil-grown plants of the same area.
The client was very satisfied with the hydroponic tower's modular structure, energy-saving advantages, and high efficiency, and ultimately decided to order a sample for testing. He plans to initially grow the tower at home to verify yield and quality, and then gradually expand the purchase to gain experience for future commercial farm projects.
