Global Manufacturer of Custom Hydroponic Systems & Turnkey Commercial Farming Projects
Across Europe, equestrian clubs and livestock farms are paying more attention to stable and high-quality feed supply. However, traditional pasture production can be affected by seasonal changes, extreme weather, and limited land availability, making it difficult to maintain a consistent supply of fresh forage throughout the year.
To overcome these challenges, a customer from Croatia recently contacted us to find a reliable hydroponic fodder growing solution for a local equestrian club. The customer was looking for a system that could provide continuous fresh green feed as a supplement for horses while reducing dependence on traditional pasture production.
During the communication, we introduced different models of hydroponic fodder machines, including production capacity, equipment configuration, optional functions, and the complete fodder growing process. Based on the feeding requirements of the equestrian club, the customer selected a 250kg/day hydroponic fodder machine as the first-stage testing solution.
The system uses advanced automated hydroponic fodder technology to grow fresh green feed in a controlled environment. Through efficient water circulation, automatic irrigation, and optimized growing conditions, the machine enables fast and stable fodder production with less space compared with traditional forage cultivation.
For the equestrian club, the main goal was to evaluate whether the produced hydroponic fodder could meet the nutritional and feeding requirements of their horses. Therefore, the customer decided to purchase one unit for practical testing and performance evaluation before further expansion.
Compared with conventional pasture farming, a hydroponic fodder system provides several advantages, including year-round production, reduced dependence on climate conditions, efficient water use, and flexible installation options. These features make it suitable not only for horse farms but also for dairy farms, sheep farms, cattle farms, and other livestock operations.
With the growing demand for sustainable livestock farming solutions in Europe, hydroponic fodder technology is becoming an effective way to improve feed security and establish localized fresh feed production. By producing fresh green fodder closer to the point of consumption, farms can achieve a more reliable and flexible feeding strategy throughout the year.
