With increasing demand for fresh vegetables and stable food supply, a customer from Jamaica is planning to develop a commercial hydroponic greenhouse project to improve vegetable production efficiency through modern agricultural technology. The customer hopes to explore a more efficient and sustainable growing method suitable for the local environment.
During the project planning stage, the customer showed strong interest in our A Type NFT hydroponic system and requested detailed information about the system dimensions, planting capacity, and included components. Since the greenhouse construction is still in the preparation stage, we recommended starting with two sample systems to test the growing performance and optimize the future commercial farming plan.
The A Type NFT hydroponic system features a space-efficient structure designed to maximize greenhouse growing capacity. Through continuous nutrient solution circulation, the system delivers water and essential nutrients directly to plant roots while maintaining proper root oxygen levels to support healthy crop development. Compared with traditional soil farming, NFT hydroponics uses less water, provides a cleaner growing environment, reduces soil-borne disease risks, and allows easier crop management, making it highly suitable for commercial leafy vegetable production.
Based on the customer's plan to grow lettuce and other leafy greens, we recommended a configuration with 8 planting holes per meter and 40mm hole diameter. This setup provides suitable planting density while maintaining enough root space for healthy plant growth, helping improve production efficiency and harvest quality. We also shared relevant growing cases to help the customer better understand the practical application results of NFT hydroponic systems.
After confirming the system configuration and growing solution, the customer approved the proposal and completed the sample order. The equipment has now entered production. This project will allow the customer to test NFT hydroponic farming methods in advance and build valuable experience for future commercial greenhouse expansion and large-scale vegetable production.
